As a team we went around to our family, friends and people on the street to get a rounded view of what genre people enjoy the most the most. We asked around 40 people and also spilt males and females into two groups to find out whether they enjoy film noirs. The result was that the majority of people we asked liked film noirs and the main population was males aged 21 onwards.
The target gender is mainly aimed at males. This is because their are slightly sexist elements to film noirs which tends to not appeal to women. An example of this is Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, where the protagonist finds himself torn between his case and his lover.
