Conventions of a Film Noir



There are several conventions of a film which give it the title as being a Film Noir these include:
  1. Corrupt Cops
  2. An alienated protagonist    
  3. Rain drenched streets
  4. Alcoholics/ Alcohol
  5. Voice over narration - First person narrative
  6. Flashbacks
  7. Melancholic music (slow jazz)  
  8. Whodunit?
  9. One wrong decision
  10. Amnesia
