Apple Juice

Apple Juice:
We need to create the illusion that our character was an alcoholic we needed to introduce some form of alcohol. the apple juice is supposed to look like whiskey. We just settled on a simple Tesco Value Apple Juice which costed about 65p.



 

Suit and Tie

Suit and Tie:

We needed the protagonist and his partner to look like real professionals as they were supposed to be dectectives at work. The suit and Tie make the character seem older and more serious which is what we wanted to portray them as we are fulfilling a common convention with film noirs as the protagonist often wears suits and looks serious.

 

 

Glass

Glass:

We needed a glass which looked similar to a posh whisky glass often found in the homes of seasoned drinkers.We wanted it to look like he is no stranger to alcohol. The transparency of the glass also worked in our favour as it gave us a great shot of the protagonist pouring the alchol in the glass

 

 


Alcohol bottle

Magner Irish Beer Original:

    We wanted to exhibit that or protagonist is a raging alcoholas we shot a sene of him drinking in broad daylight and further emphasised his problem with alcohol. We emptied the bottle and replaced it with lemonade so that we would be able to give the illusion that he was drinking alcohol.
